We're Not Here to Be Average ~ We're Here to Be Amazing!
January 2021
Thank you for your partnership and support during the first half of our school year. Our South Side families are AMAZING! As we look ahead to the new year we have much to be thankful for, our health, our friendships, our families, and our school family. I hope you had a restful and relaxing winter break and are ready to tackle the second semester with us!
We are ready to get busy and accomplish our academic goals!
Here are a few important reminders for January:
- NWEA for all students - January 19- February 5 NWEA will assess student growth in both reading and math. We are excited to share your child's growth! Please look for reports to be sent home in February.
- Science Fair- Friday, January 15 (Information is posted on your students Google Classroom or See Saw page)
- Attendance Matters - Please make sure your child is coming to school on their in-person learning days and is at school on time. With our current schedule it is even more important they are present and not missing instruction and learning at school. If your child misses school please call our office and let us know so they are not marked unexcused. We want to work with you to ensure they are receiving learning material virtually if needed.
- January 18th- Martin Luther King Day NO SCHOOL
- Report Cards will be sent home the week of January 11, 2021.
- South Side Food Drive - Our annual food drive will be January 11- January 22. We want to give back and support families in our community! Students are encouraged to bring in food donations during this time. Please look for detailed information from your child's teacher through Seesaw or Dojo. Let's give back and make a BIG impact for families in need!
