Literacy Corner
We were so honored to have Mr. Jim Kiger visit our class this week. Mr. Kiger is a retired Air Force veteran. He brought many different helmets worn, telling us the history and interesting facts about each. He also answered questions posed my the class. What a great time we had!!!
Next week we will continue to learn about Native Americans, while discussing why we are thankful at Thanksgiving time. We will also be introducing them to the Letterlanders, Eddy Elephant (Ee) and Uppy Umbrella (Uu). We will also learn the sight word "play".
Math Lab
Next week we will continue working on counting in class. We will also begin learning about adding using objects. Please continue to work with your child at home on all the skills taught.
Parental Reminders...
Please make sure your register your child for the Boosterthon Fun Run. All money earned will go towards a new playground for our growing school. The students earn cool prizes for the money that they collect during this boosterthon. This weekend our challenge is to make a video with your child on their website.
Days to Remember...
Conferences for our class begin. Please make sure you sign up for a time to meet with me.
Picture Make-up Day: If you would like for your child to retake their fall picture or they missed our original date, please have your child dress their best today so they can take a picture.
