Student of the Month- Natalie McCuistion
Natalie McCuistion was selected Student of the Month by our 5th grade teachers. Recently, our Principal's Prize Patrol and The Twenty-five Men of Distinction surprised her at home. She was presented with a certificate and gift cards. Natalie’s favorite color is blue and favorite subject is Science. She loves to draw, read, and play softball. She has one sister that also attends VES. Natalie enjoys spending time at Grandma’s house baking. Mom’s advice to Natalie is to pay attention and work hard. When Natalie grows up, she wants to be a teacher.
Climbing Cub of the Month- Kyra Woodard
Kyra Woodard was selected Climbing Cub of the Month for by our 5th grade teachers. Recently, our Principal's Prize Patrol and The Twenty-five Men of Distinction surprised her at home. She was presented with a certificate and gift cards. Her favorite color is pink, favorite subject is social studies and her favorite sport is riding her hoverboard. Kyra has 3 brothers and one dog named Chee Chow. On weekends, she enjoys shopping and having lunch with her family. Her mom's advice to her is always pay attention in school. When she grows up, she wants to be a hair stylist.
VES Teacher of the Year- BreeAnne Wade
Ms. Wade graduated from McNeese State University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education. This is her sixth year teaching and her fourth year in fourth grade at Vinton Elementary. She decided to pursue an education degree in order to raise a minion army. When she is not rallying the troops, she enjoys cuddling with her dog and watching old episodes of The X-Files. Ms. Wade is a highly effective teacher by every measure and will represent VES well at the district level competition.
