Hwy 23 Project Update

CR 12 detour begins May 1

Stearns CR 12 (Maine Street) near Richmond will be detoured for 14 days beginning Monday, May 1 to complete the new tie-in to Hwy 23.



Hwy 23 detour begins May 15

The main Hwy 23 Paynesville to Richmond detour will start on Monday, May 15 and is expected to be in place through early November 2023 when the project is completed.

Hwy 23 will be detoured from Stearns CR 33 in Paynesville to Stearns CR 12 in Richmond.

The Hwy 23 South Gap detour begins May 1 and is expected to run through Oct. 27. Hwy 23 will be closed from Hawick to Paynesville. Traffic will be routed to Kandiyohi County Road 2 and Hwy 55; a detour map is above.
