MicroSCOPEing for a Major Change
In our microscope unit, we looked through various sand samples to see where Mr. Shafer has gone from his vacation. When the class was comparing the samples, Sample B, the sand that came out of his beach towel, looked the same as Sample C, a sand from Vietnam. They both have the same color rocks and the sizes were about the same as well. So we think that Mr. Shafer went to Vietnam for his amazing trip. A microscope helped us figure out where Mr. Shafer went for his amazing trip.
Triple Beams are Balanced
The picture ubove this text box Triple Beam Balance. To use one, you first need to put the item you want to weigh (in grams). First, you need to move the 100 bar. If the bar on the right slams all the way down, 100 is too much. Then you move to the tens. Keep on going up slowly until it matches the 0. Then move to the ones. When you are using the ones, you have to be very precise about what you do. One little push and everything might slam to 0. After the arrow on the left is perfectly aligned with the zero, you have the answer. Just add up the hundreds, tens and ones and that is how many grams it has.
