PURPOSE in LITERATURE

Understanding author intention

Task: Create a poster advertising one of the four works of literature we have recently studied: "The Continuity of Parks", "The Red Convertible", "The Lone Ranger and Tonto Fistfight in Heaven", and "The Captivity Narrative of Mary Rowlandson".

Using smore.com, plan and design an electronic poster that illustrates your interpretation of author intention for the selected work. Your poster should clearly define author intention through your analysis skills--think outside the box! Convey meaning through your illustrative depiction of aspects like conflict, characterization, theme, imagery, anecdote, symbolism, etc.
