The Board of Education provided their reflections on the Committee of the Whole meeting that took place on Friday, July 30.

Superintendent Kaczkowski presented a Return to School Plan update including a recommendation to start the school year with universal masking of all vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals in District 41 buildings.

The Board discussed a new policy and also voted on a number of action items as noted below.

The Board voted to support the superintendent's Return to School Masking Plan for universal masking to start the school year. This is temportary just to start the school year and will continue to be evaluated.

Board Discussion on Board Policy 4:182 Face Coverings

This is not a school opening masking plan policy. The policy draft allows for the superintendent to make flexible decisions about masking throughout the school year. Board members discussed the draft and asked questions.
