The Forbidden City
When the Yuan dynasty was taken over by the Ming dynasty the emperor thought highly of the chinese history. He decided to order men to build extra buildings in the center of Beijing with walls around it. When it was done it had three palaces and three royal halls. The ming family and servants were able to live there. Guards, the Ming family, and government were the only ones not forbidden to set foot on the grounds. This is why it is called the forbidden city. The three palaces housed the ming family and servants, and the three royal halls were used for grand balls and celebrations run by the chosen government.Each of these halls are separated by vast spaces. There are streams with gold fish that surround the buildings.Every kind of flower imaginable greets the eye in several garden boxes.
