Personal Statement Workshop!
Join the Writing Resources Center on Oct. 18th from 5-7pm for a workshop designed to help you create well-crafted statements of purpose for internship, scholarship, or graduate school applications. The “Personal Statements” workshop will provide tried-and-true advice for crafting effective personal narratives. The Brennan Center seeks a full-time Research & Program Associate to work in the Brennan Center’s Democracy Program. This position will report directly to the attorneys in charge of the relevant project area. The Democracy Program seeks to perfect the ideal of representative self-government by advocating for public policies and institutions that reflect a diverse, engaged, and energetic democracy. The Program collaborates with grassroots groups, advocacy organizations, and reform-minded government officials to promote policies that eliminate barriers to full and equal political participation.

Fellowships with the Smithsonian Institute!
The Office of Fellowships and Internships (OFI) has central management and administrative responsibility for the Smithsonian Institution’s academic appoint programs including internship, fellowship, and research associate appointments. OFI works to strengthen, diversify, and develop these programs.
Towards these ends, OFI is interested in facilitating scholarly interactions between SI experts and students/scholars at universities, museums, cultural organizations, and other research institutions around the world. OFI administers Institution-wide research support programs, and encourages and assists other Smithsonian museums, research institutes, and research offices in the development of additional fellowship, internship, and research associate appointments.
