FIELD DAY

Field day is coming soon on Friday, June 12th! Students will participate in outdoor games and activities with their classmates. Please make sure children come to school on Friday in comfortable clothing and sneakers. Sunscreen, bug spray, a hat and sunglasses are also recommended. We will have an all-school picnic lunch beginning at 12:00. Please bring towels or blankets and join us! This will be followed by our Walk-A-Thon awards at 1:30 and a puppet show to end the day. We look forward to seeing many families and friends.

Walk -A-Thon

Perfect weather, amazing volunteers, donations, sponsors and happy, tired students and adults! This year's Walk-A-Thon fundraiser event was a huge success. Students accumulated laps to help raise money for new playground equipment at RCS. Thank you to our PTG members and volunteers. A great time was had by all!

ART SHOW

Mrs. Magee has worked with students throughout the year to produce a wide range of art projects. At our Art Show last Monday, the hallway was turned into a beautiful art gallery. Parents, students and guests strolled through the gallery admiring the work of our many artists. A special thank you to Mrs. Bergquist-Darling for helping to hang the artwork and to everyone who donated refreshments for the evening.

4th GRADE BIOGRAPHY PROJECTS

Ms. Magazu's fourth graders have been busy with biographies. To culminate their biography study, each student provided a project and presentation to the class. Some students chose to dress the part for their presentation. Can you guess who they studied?

BIRDS OF PREY

Tim Ricardi, who runs a raptor rehabilitation center, visited RCS with his Birds of Prey program. Students learned about raptors and animal conservation. They were treated to demonstrations of unique behaviors and characteristics of various birds. This informative and exciting presentation was made possible through a grant recieved from Royalston Academy.
