New Advisor Subcommittee Meeting- BAM! POW! ZAP!: New Advisor Superhero Utility Belt Workshop
Navigating life as a new advisor (and superhero) can be a formidable feat and presents a different set of challenges every day. What are the most important characteristics of an effective advisor? How can you build the skills required to confidently help students? What is necessary for everyday success? In this highly interactive roundtable, we will consider these questions and work together to build a New Advisor Superhero Utility Belt with the gadgets and gizmos we need to conquer the challenges we face as advisors. Participants will leave with an idea of the essentials for their personal utility belt and will have the opportunity to foster supportive relationships with superheroes from across the university.
