Challenge #1

Ellie had never given much thought as to how she would die, but being diagnosed with Leukemia wasn’t exactly how she pictured it. Scared wasn’t even the right word to describe how she felt after the doctor said the big L word. No, Ellie was utterly terrified.

Being the only senior in her grade with cancer, no one knew what she had to go through on a daily basis. Waking up and going to the doctor then back to school then back to the doctor for chemotherapy, it was draining. While all her friends were picking out what color dress they wanted for prom, Ellie was picking out what color wig she wanted to wear to school.

Smoking should be banned in public places because it puts health risks in the hands of those who don’t even smoke. Second hand smoking is very bad for you. Just 8 to 20 minutes of being exposed to cigarette smoke can heighten your chances of getting heart disease. Also it is an environmental hazard. A large percentage of cigarette remnants are found littered on public parks and on sidewalks and lawns as well.
