From the Principal's Office

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Our Thanksgiving Food Drive was a tremendous success and thanks to the generosity of our students and families, as well as a corporate donation from Douglas Pharma US, we will supply 40 Thanksgiving meals to our parish and local communities! We are very grateful to everyone who contributed to this year’s food drive!

Today’s Turkey Bowl was another roaring success for our Holy Family Faculty! Winning by a score of 6 touchdowns to 3, the faculty sailed by the 8th grade victorious, setting their undefeated Turkey Bowl record to 3-0. Thank you to our students and parents who supported both teams on this beautiful fall day!

Today our students in grades Kindergarten through 8th grade had a virtual assembly, Ned’s Kindness Adventure, which inspired our students to be kind-hearted and caring through storytelling, music, and an interactive video of Ned’s trip to Kenya. In conjunction with this free assembly, when we return from break, we will be hosting a Kindness Sale of unique items from Kenya. The proceeds from this sale helps: send the Kindness Adventure to other schools, provides income for artisans in Kenya, and helps to provide clean water for kids in Kenya by assisting with a well project. This pay-it-forward assembly and sale has been in our school before, and the message is always positive and uplifting. An order form for the Kindness Sale is attached to this newsletter and a hard copy will come home with the students today.

As a reminder, we will not be in school on Monday, November 28, so anyone who plays Pot of Gold can send in their tickets for the November 28 drawing tomorrow or can drop them off at the St. Frances Cabrini rectory.

As winter approaches and we head into colder weather, please be mindful that students will go outside for recess if the temperature is above 32 degrees. Students should come prepared to be outdoors and have an appropriate coat, hat, and gloves/mittens.

On behalf of all our faculty and staff here at Holy Family, I want to wish all our students and families a most blessed Thanksgiving holiday. May we all take a few moments to praise and thank God for the many blessings he gives us every day, most importantly the gift of faith, family, and friends!

Sincerely Yours in Christ,

Mrs. Haggerty

It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

Some say “it’s the happiest season of all, with holiday greetings and marshmallows toasting.” 'Tis also the Season when a global generosity movement called Giving Tuesday launches on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving: On a day when we reflect on the goodness and thankfulness of the season, we eat good food and enjoy family and friends on Thanksgiving. Black Friday follows when we shop favorite retailers for bargains. If you are an online shopper, you may be waiting for Cyber Monday.

Why not look forward to Giving Tuesday on November 29th??

This year, Holy Family is celebrating this global generosity movement with

The Thirteen Days Giving

Will you please consider a gift of any size between November 29th and December 11th? Holy Family is celebrating its 13th anniversary as a regional school so perhaps a gift of $13 during these special 13 days or maybe increase your gift twofold to a gift of $23. As we near the holiday season please keep our school on the gift list.

No gift is too small and every act of kindness counts. Let’s make Giving Tuesday 2022 the most wonderful time of the year. Thank you for your support.
