March-ing into Spring
Hello Sunbeams! We are Marching right into Spring with lots of Seussical activities! Dr. Seuss' birthday is March 2nd and we plan to celebrate with Seuss-tastical theme days and lots of reading fun. A list of theme days can be found below under "Important Dates".
Along with all things Seuss, March's themes include: dinosaurs, color and shape recognition/sorting, St. Patrick's Day, rhyming, opposites, kites, butterflies and Spring. We'll concentrate on the letters T, U, V and W as well the numbers 8, 15 &16. Our color and shape for March are green and diamond.
Our Dino-mite Scholastic Book Fair will take place in Asbury Hall March 18-22 during school hours, a link to our Fair Homepage can be found at the end of this newsletter!
March 21/22, Parents and/or Big People are invited to join us for Pastries with Parents in Asbury Hall beginning at 8:45am. More Pastries with Parents information can be found below.
In Music Class we will use Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf to learn new instruments and practice story retelling all while studying a new genre.
We will follow Jesus on his Lenten journey in Chapel. Jesus was sent to save all of us. God loves us so much we are called children of God. Our Bible verse from 1 John 3:2, "Now we are children of God" reminds us to be kind to and accepting of all people just like Jesus.
