Class of 2022

September Newsletter

Welcome To Senior Year!

Greetings, Class of 2022 Students, Parents, & Guardians,

I am happy to be sharing our first Senior Class newsletter! This will allow me to send regular monthly updates, share pictures, recognitions, and activities as well as give a head's up for important information.

It is great to see all the smiling faces this year! Our kids are truly glad to be back in the building. I will do my best to give as much info as possible each month. Some items will be consistent as they are important each month, especially the college information! Please do not hesitate to reach out to Mrs. Cibulka or I if we can help or answer any questions! If we don't have the answer, we will get you to someone who can.

Looking forward to a great year!

Senior Counseling Curriculum & College Checklist

Seniors had an opportunity to attend the College Admissions 101 seminar during Ac Lab. The first one was held on Friday, Sept. 3, and the second, on Wednesday, Sept. 8 in the theatre. Topics that were covered included:

  • College Application Steps, Types, Deadlines
  • Naviance Student - Transcripts and Letters of Rec Requests
  • Important Admissions Deadlines
  • Financial Aid Tips

This meeting is not required to attend, but is important to understanding the steps involved in the college application process. If your senior would like to attend, they should utilize the AcLab Form to travel to the theatre. The presentation will last for the duration of AcLab, so plan on being in the theatre during both modules. Seniors should contact their counselor with questions.

The Senior Parent Meeting will be held virtually on Wednesday, Sept. 29 from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. Mr. Lorenz, West Guidance Counselor, will highlight topics from the same College Admissions 101 with parents. The instructions for joining this zoom meeting are below:
