Principal's Message
When we return from spring break, we will have exactly 9 weeks of school left before summer vacation. The year has absolutely flown by! Take a moment to reflect on the growth your child has made both emotionally and academically. Tell them how proud you are of their accomplishments. Before we know it, we will begin planning for next year. I hope everyone has a great month!
Report cards will be sent home with students on April 10th.

The last fundraiser of the year was sent home with students before spring break. Cookie dough order forms are due by April 10th. Thank you for your support.

From early traumas involving a glory-seeking elementary school teacher to possible disturbances in the global climate, "Fifteen Reasons not to be in a Play" will keep you guessing and entertained.
Tickets will be sold at the door for $5.00 for adults and $2.00 for students.

The camp runs from June 9 - 12, 2015 from 9 - 11:30 a.m. and is FREE of charge!! Students will complete hands on activities in various careers to help them make good career decisions. Some possible areas of career exploration are arts and communication, agriculture, human resources, building and construction, business and information technology....just to name a few! Applications are available in the guidance office. Applications are due by May 15, 2015 and can be mailed to the CTC or given to Mrs. Carmack at the junior high. Don't miss out on this great opportunity!!
PARCC End of Year Testing
Students will be taking the end of year PARCC assessments April 27-May 8th. We have made some changes and hope to minimize the disruption to the educational process. I will send home a testing schedule with students, email parents, and post it on the website.
Real Money Real World
The 8th grade students will be participating in a program called Real Money Real World on Friday, May 29th. Students spend time in math class learning about occupations, income, deductions, checking and savings account, etc. Students are then given a career and monthly salary. On May 29th, students will visit 14 different stations to purchase all items necessary to survive for one month -- house payment, car payment, insurance, groceries, daycare, electric bill, cable, etc. Parent volunteers are needed to help work the stations on May 29th. If you would be willing to help us with this learning opportunity for our students, please contact Mrs. Carmack at the junior high no later than May 1st.
