"Crosby Kids" Connection

Monthly Principal Newsletter

Hello Crosby Families!

I want to thank you all for your support in a great start to this 2019-2020 school year. We are really enjoying all of these amazing students here at Crosby! The best part of my job, as principal, is greeting the students each morning as they arrive. I have had the opportunity to get to know our students in the cafeteria, in the hallways, on the playground, and in the classroom. I see so many wonderful learning opportunities here at school. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to know your children!

Thank you all for your patience as we have made some changes to the dismissal procedure here at Crosby. At the end of the school day, it is a critical time when all 795 of our students are making their way home and we want to be sure that all students arrive home safely each day. My main responsibility and top priority is the safety of our children.

We appreciate your cooperation with the Car Rider Pick Up Procedure. Our process is working and we are now seeing a significant decrease in the time it takes to have all car riders picked up. Just a few reminders...

  • Please cross at the crosswalk at all times
  • Be sure you call the main office by 2:00 if you are reporting a change in your child's transportation home that day
  • In the Car Rider line, the Kindergarten students are the first ones to be released from Door #2. If you are arriving earlier than 3:05, please be patient as our students are not dismissed until 3:05.

Enjoy the beautiful weather and please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.

Have a wonderful month of September!

Mrs. Kathleen Ferguson
