- Jim Dine is an American artist and poet known for Pop Art.
- Born on June 16, 1935 in Cincinnati, OH, he studied poetry at the University of Cincinnati before attending the University of Ohio to study art.
- He moved to New York City in 1958
- By the early 1960s he decided to be a painter and one could see his interest in popular images and commercial objects.
- His art includes pictures of Pinocchio, heart shapes, bathrobes, and tools. Dines paintings are very colorful.
- He currently lives and works between New York, NY.
- He has artwork at The Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Tate Modern museum in London, and other museums around the world.
