Time is Flying!
What Should I Be Doing Now?
-Visit colleges. You can schedule visits to schools by going to their websites and clicking on their "visit" link. Many schools hold weekly visitations as well as general Open Houses. Don't worry that you don't have a clue what you want to study in college or where you want to go. Simply visit different types of schools to get an idea of what you want and don't want in a college. It is better to visit colleges while they are in session rather than waiting till the summer. You want to get a feel for what the campus and school is like while the students are present. Look below for some local open houses and upcoming college events.
-Try a new club for the second half of the year or check out the service learning bulletin board for ideas on community service. You don't want to wait until your senior year to be active in your school and community. Colleges will ask and want to see what you have been involved in over the course of all 4 years of high school. See below for a link to the clubs and activities here at PHHS!
-Parents, do you need a Naviance registration code so that you can access your child's account? Email Ms. Campbell at scampbell3@bcps.org for a code.
