Summer Job Opportunity with Let's Get Ready

Let's Get Ready provides high school students from historically underrepresented communities with free SAT preparation, admissions counseling and other support services needed to gain admission to and graduate from college. Services are provided by volunteer college students who also serve as role models and mentors.
Schedule: 2 evenings/week, June-August
Stipend: $2,250 for the summer
Position Overview: The College Access Site Director is a paid, part-time internship for current undergraduate college students (preferred), graduate college students, or recent college graduates interested in education, non-profit management, and community building.

Ditch the Dumpster

Ditch the Dumpster is a program run by the Office of Sustainability that aims to reduce the waste created on residential move out days by offering an alternative method of
disposal-donation.
Donation boxes will be placed on every floor of Dowden, Wayslean, and
Sheehan, and in every building in Chandler Village from May 1st to May 20th.
Shifts begin at 9am and end when collections are finished (no later than noon). Volunteers will meet in the lobby of Sheehan Hall.
All volunteers will receive a free t-shirt and a free pod lunch will be provided after we've finished up for the day!! (The free pod lunch will be provided on each day besides May 1st.)

Pizza & Politics

Please join us for "Pizza & Politics," a series of informal lunchtime gatherings where students, faculty, and other members of the WSU community can gather in a safe place, away from the formal trappings of a classroom, for conversations about politics and other issues of the day. Free lunch will be provided. Let's break bread (or pizza crust) together!

Title IX Expectations Focus Group

We are hosting a student focus group on May 8th from 12:00-1:30pm and are looking for students who may be willing to volunteer their time. The topic of conversation is about student expectations around Title IX; including in the classroom and what faculty roles are as well as expectations from staff. This focus group will assist in providing training and resources for faculty and staff in the near future.
