When Brian Robeson’s plane falls in the middle of nowhere he will need to learn how to survive. Using a wooden bow and arrow, he will need to hunt for his food and will need to cook the food with some torn wood, rocks and a twenty dollar bill he has in his pocket. He will have to learn how stay healthy to stay alive when all he can eat is some raspberries and rabbit meat. While he’s stranded, he gets spiked by a porcupine and spots a growling wolf. Brian only has torn up clothes and a hatchet. Will Brian survive?
My favorite part is when Brian’s plane falls in the lake and he was stuck under the lake. I liked this part because it kept me reading to see if he would die or not. I think it was a really good book and I hope that I will have time to read it again because it is one of my favorite books. I think Gary Paulsen has done a really good job writing this book because it kept me reading and I never wanted to put it down.
