Health Heroes - Influenza Vaccines
We are pleased to announce that in partnership with Akron Children’s Hospital that Health Heroes, Inc. will be coming to Stow-Munroe Falls City Schools and offering Influenza Vaccines. Health Heroes will be on site Monday 10/18 and Tuesday 10/19. The day will depend on your child(s) school. More information to come as the dates get closer.
Please print off the Vaccine Consent Form (attached) or have your student pick one up from their school clinic. This form must be completed and turned into the clinic no later than Wednesday, 10/13 to ensure we have enough vaccines. You can have your child drop the completed form off to their respective school clinic or you can email/fax to their respective school (Attn: Clinic).
Halloween Costume Guidelines
Halloween Costume Guidelines
When sending in your child’s costume, we ask the following:
No blood and gore
No weapons· No costume masks – Too dangerous as we go up and down steps!
Students will be expected to wear their daily face mask as part of our COVID response plan throughout the party and parade.
Students will not be permitted to change in the restroom – The costume should be able to be changed into in the classroom.
Do not send your child to school in full make-up or dyed/sprayed hair as this is very distracting to learning.
HALLOWEEN PARADE & PARTY NEWS
This year the Halloween Parade and Party will take place on October 29th.
Our parade will begin at 2:35 and will take place on our blacktop playground area. If you wish to come to the parade, please arrive by 2:25 and find a socially distanced spot to sit or stand around the perimeter of the blacktop. You may wish to bring a lawn chair. After the parade, our students will re-enter the building for the class party. In case of rain, the parade will be moved indoors but visitors will not be permitted.
PLEASE NOTE - As a district we only allow five fingerprinted adults in the classroom party. The PTA will notify you if you are one of the five. Volunteers must wear a mask while in attendance. If you were not chosen for this party, know that we have an additional opportunity to help at a party in February. If you are coming to set up for the Halloween party, you may arrive and sign in with the PTA at 2:20. If you arrive before 2:20 you will be asked to wait. We will dismiss the volunteers to the classrooms at 2:20.
