Volcanic Eruptions
By Eddie Roach
A volcano
A volcano is an opening, or rupture in the surface of the earth, which allows hot lava, volcanic ash and gases to escape from the magma chamber below the surface.
Volcanoes are usually located close to tectonic plates. Volcanoes erupt when a earthquake happens close by, the earthquake shakes the earth making a way up to the surface for the magma. Black smoke, rocks, lava and dust explodes from the crater making the environment very dangerous. The lava destroys the environment but it soon cools down and becomes more land. Fresh, new, green flora grows from the surface starting the process again.
