As we begin the +15 minute schedule change today Monday, February 7, 2022 we want everyone to have the daily schedules and resources that will be helpful throughout the semester.

Interventions will continue to take place within the school day and will be updated weekly in Column #1: Intervention Time of the PHS Assignment Page

Homeroom will be the 3rd and 4th Wednesday of each month

The PHS Speech Team competed at the State Large Group Speech Contest this past weekend. Of the 6 events PHS took 4 earned Division "I" overall ratings.

The state of Iowa the Seal of Bi-Literacy is important because:
Being able to know and use more than one language is a critical skill for the 21st century.
The Seal of Bi-Literacy:
- Values language as an asset
- Recognizes the value of language diversity and cultural identity
- Prepares students with 21st century skills that will benefit them in the labor market and the global society
- Provides employers, universities, and grant/scholarship providers with a method to recognize applicants for their dedication to attainment of bi-literacy
Student can earn this Seal of Bi-Literacy by being proficient of the AAPL exam, this proficiency will earn graduates a Seal of Bi-Literacy on their diploma.

The Summer 2022 internship portal opens Dec. 13, 2021 through Feb. 4, 2022, for current high school sophomores and juniors. Internships are 45 – 90 hours in length and students may be able to earn high school credit.
