WHAT WE ARE LEARNING
READING & WRITING
We will continue our work on writing about reading and holding great discussions with our book clubs. Learners will use Home of the Brave" by Katherine Applegate for the book club break out room discussions. As a reminder, learners are expected to spend 45 minutes per week completing activities in the iStation app.
MATH
This week we dived into decimal comparisons to the thousandths place using symbols (<,>,=) Learners were given problems to solve using two different multiplication/division strategies. Next week we will add and subtract decimals to the hundredths place using representation.
SCIENCE
This week the learners classified matter based on measurable, testable, and observable physical properties. Next week is all about solutions.
SOCIAL STUDIES
Learners continued working on the unit for colonization in America. Learners focused on how different groups of people contributed to our national identity. Next week is the American Revolution.
