Therapy Dogs are Coming for Finals!!!!!
Finals got your stressed?
School got you stressed? Worried about finals? We're here for you! Come to the Cañada library on December 12th, from 12-1, for some much needed relaxation and canine therapy! We've partnered with the Peninsula Humane Society and SPCA to bring dogs just for you (Well, we love them, too!). These aren't just your aunt's yippee best friend, they're specially trained to help you relax. You can pet them, play with them, and help them do their job by showing up stressed and leaving in a great mood!
Students: Book a Research Appointment!
Who put the peer in peer-reviewed articles? Aren't sure how to cite a YouTube video in MLA? What the heck is a hanging indent and why does your professor want one? Find the answers to all your research questions by making an appointment to meet with a librarian!

So you've got an assignment, and you're stuck. You don't know what to write, or even where to begin. And maybe it's easier to just Google something and copy or to use a friend's work. We know, it's tempting. But really, don't plagiarize. Your professors read a lot of things about the topics you're working on, and they have good memories! (Also, they can use Google, too!). Remember, plagiarism is a serious issue. When caught, students fail the course and are sometimes kicked out of school. It's just not worth it!
In order to help keep you on the correct scholastic path, our librarian Cynthia McCarthy has created a LibGuide on plagiarism, and especially on how to avoid it. I promise, the time you spending reading it and using our resources is more valuable than the time you'd spend finding other people's work, and you won't risk getting kicked out of school.

This Month in Cañada History
Nearly 50 years ago it was 1968 and students weren’t worried about exiting Cañada or the existential trials of their future lives – they were too busy rehearsing for Jean-Paul Sartre’s drama No Exit. We're sure student actress Madelaine Juri stole the show!
