If you have not already done so, please visit to order cap and gown and announcements. You can NO LONGER order the cap and gown at For delivery in late March at PSHS, your order needs to be submitted NO LATER than Tuesday, March 1st. This will also ensure that your size will be available.

Spread the word, and bring your appetite, in support of Men’s Soccer Thursday, March 3 by eating at Canes, 15th Street and Alma. A portion of the proceeds for the entire day will benefit the men’s soccer program. GO PLANO!

PROM 2016!

Tickets are NOW on sale on-line on Parent Portal until Friday, March 4th. The cost is $25 each or 2 for $50. Only seniors may purchase tickets. Limit is two per student. PSHS Prom will be Saturday, April 30th at Southfork Ranch from 8:30pm - 12:30am.


The United Methodist Women of St. Andrew UMC, Plano are hosting a Prom Closet for young ladies to shop for that special event. There are dresses in all sizes and colors, as well as shoes, handbags and jewelry. The event has everything needed to complete the "total look" for the evening.

Shopping days are:

Tuesday, March 1st: 4 - 8pm

Wednesday, March 2nd: 4 - 8pm

Thursday, March 3rd: 4 - 8pm

Saturday, March 5th: 9am - 12pm

Shopping will take place at the church - 1401 Mira Vista side of the church (Plano Parkway and Mira Vista), in the Smith Worship Center. Park in the east parking lot along Mira Vista and follow the Prom Closet directional signs. This event is a service of the UMW and is provided at no cost.   • PSHS Wrestlers Sam McCoy and Tatsuro Iwasi (Both from Clark HS) are headed to Houston this weekend to compete in the State Tournament!! Go Sam and Tatsuro!!

State Bound Wrestlers

Please congratulate this years State Qualifiers for varsity wrestling. Sam McCoy and Tatsuro Iwasi both upset several opponents at Allen High School on Saturday to advance to STATE. Sam is a freshman at Clark High School and placed 4th in the 106 division. Tatsuro is a sophomore from Clark High School and placed 3rd in the 113 division. Both boys will be leaving for the State tournament on Thursday to compete in Houston. As a team Plano Sr. posted a top 10 finish with all but one wrestler picking up at least 2 wins. Other notable performances were Dominic Ramos and Cole Reed who both had a 6th place finish.

It is exciting to see these young men advance, as we will be returning 13 out of 14 varsity starters.

Deaf Ed Regional Academic Bowl

Please congratulate Caroline Metersky, Kyle Mirus, Amari Smith, and Tommy Tiede on their 3rd place victory at Gallaudet Academic Bowl this past weekend. This is our first time placing in the competition and our 7th year to compete.

We will be going to Gallaudet University April 23-26 to compete in the National Competition.

The Academic Bowl for Deaf and Hard of Hearing High School students was established with the goal of fostering the pursuit of academic excellence, promoting a spirit of academic competition and sportsmanship, and providing social opportunities for the development of collegiality and lifelong friendships.

Every year, Gallaudet University hosts five Regional competitions for up to 90 teams of Deaf and Hard of Hearing high school students. 24 teams will then advance to the National competition held at Gallaudet every year.

Gallaudet University is the ONLY university in the world for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.

Plano Senior Speech and Debate wins at Harvard

4000 contestants, 355 schools, 35 states and 10 countries were represented this year at the annual Harvard National Tournament.

Plano Senior Speech and Debate successfully completed the weekend with 19 students reaching elimination rounds including 9th in Congressional Debate, 4th Place Speaker in Public Forum Debate and the 2016 Extemporaneous Speaking Champion; becoming one of the very few young women to win the event in the last 30 years.

Congratulations to your PLANOETTES

The Planoettes competed at the CP Regional contest at Independence High School this past Saturday. They were awarded many awards but most importantly GRAND CHAMPIONS of the entire contest in both Officer and Team!!! They won in the Super Team category but then outscored all other sized teams granting them OVERALL Grand Champions!!! These girls have been working so very hard every morning and some evenings too. Please congratulate them if you have them in class!!! The work was worth it ;-)
