Non-Heroic Lincoln
The Non-Heroic Lincoln
"Abraham Lincoln, the United States' 16th president, is known for ending slavery, for being one of the nation's best presidents", but is he really that heroic? Yes, he did end slavery, but when you look back, he never joined any anti-slavery society, and at times he was racist himself. He grew up as a normal white person who would, at times, speak poorly about the African-Americans. He also let the civil war happen. He never did anything to help the war come to an end. These are a few reasons why Abraham Lincoln was not a Heroic president.
