Principal's Note: Sherwood Teacher Wishtree Read Aloud
Starting on Monday, May 4th, Sherwood staff will be taking turns reading chapters of the book Wishtree by Katherine Applegate. Wishtree is a story of friendship, kindness, acceptance and hope. It is a story the entire family can listen to and enjoy. Find out more about the book here. All students are welcome to follow along each day by following the video posts on our Sherwood Facebook page, via email and via text message. The links to the videos will also be included in the Panda Prints each week.
We hope our panda families enjoy taking part in our first ever virtual staff read aloud!
Thank you SO MUCH to Helen Weiss for organizing this amazing opportunity for our families! Thank you to all of the Sherwood staff who will be our readers!
Class Placement 2020-21 Parent Input Form
We are approaching the time of the year when we begin to consider our student placement for next school year. As has been the practice in years past, student placement will continue to be a collaborative, individualized process. The placement process includes a review of each child's individual learning and social-emotional needs with a team of teachers, including your child's classroom teacher, the specials’ teachers, and resource teachers.
If you feel that extraordinary factors exist of which the school should be aware, please fill out THIS FORM by May 15, 2020.

Message from our Social Workers and School Psychologist
When kids start to go online, whether they're playing multiplayer games, using educational apps, or just following their curiosity on Google, it's important that they understand the basics of online privacy and safety. With some general guidelines around what information is and isn't OK to share, and some help from parents when they're unsure, kids can have fun and learn a lot in the digital world.
