Teacher Appreciation Week
May 4-8
Let's Show Our Teachers the Love!
Hello All!
Teacher Appreciation Week is just around the corner, and it will be a little more challenging to show our thanks this year, but perhaps more important than ever. In addition to whatever your children would like to do for their teachers, I have planned a daily game for the teachers to play, in which they can rack up points for prizes, and there will be a grand prize for the largest point earner at the end of the week.
I am seeking small daily prizes like school supplies (pencils, glue sticks, post-its, etc.), hand sanitizer, small denomination gift cards, anything you can think of or happen to have on hand.
If your child would like to make a card, or you have a personal gift to give to a particular teacher, I will have a collection bag for each teacher on a table at the free lunch distribution beginning tomorrow, Friday, April 24. You can simply give your card or gift to whomever is passing out lunches, and they will put it in the corresponding bag (please be sure to label with the teacher's name and your child's name, so they make it into the correct bag, and the teachers know who to thank). Including aides and specials teachers, we have 16 faculty members total, in case you wanted to send in something for each of them.
Likewise, I will have a collection box for any small prizes or trinkets you can contribute for the daily game.
After tomorrow, drop offs will be accepted in the Narthex M/W/F next week from 11-1, and M/W the following week so that I can have everything ready for them on the last day of Teacher Appreciation Week, May 8.
Please keep this information secret from the teachers so we can surprise them.
Thank you so much for your help on this! Please feel free to text or email me if you have any questions. Hope you are all keeping safe and well!
