A Message from Ms. Massey
Hello Caldwell Families,
It is hard to believe how quickly the school year is going. We are entering our 8th week of school and starting the month of October. It has been challenging but the smiles of our students remind us daily of our reason and purpose to continue serving them.
We want to thank you parents for your constant support. You have done an amazing job! Our F2F parents have done a great job supporting the students and making sure they are compliant with the safety protocols as well as coming to school each day! Our virtual learner parents are doing a great job making sure their student is logged in each day. We have made great progress as a school community! It is now time to transition to the next level and we need help from you! A few of our teachers are having difficulty getting students to participate in learning and submit their work. Please help us by making sure that your student is fully participating in learning each day. We need all virtual and F2F learners to do their best and participate. Additionally, please check your student’s progress report. If your student is missing any assignments, please make sure your student completes the assignment and turns it in. If your student has questions please contact your child’s teacher. We are encouraging parents to reach out to your child’s teacher to request extra support for small group instruction.
Thank you for your continued support! Karla Massey

Keeping Everyone Safe and Healthy
We continue implementing our safety protocols at Caldwell. Our students and staff wear face shields and masks, keep their physical distance, staff use Virex to disinfect areas daily, teachers have a plexiglass for small group instruction. By doing this, we ensure we keep our staff and students safe and healthy.
If your child is not feeling well, please keep him/her at home. If your student is still able to work, have him/her complete assignment asynchronous for each day he/she is at home.
Developing Strong Readers
We believe that literacy is the foundation to learning and life success. Below is a link below for tips to help develop a love of reading with your child.
Your child’s teacher can guide you how to access books online that are on his/her level and in English and in Spanish.
Counselor's Corner
Hi Caldwell Families,
This month we will be celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month and Red Ribbon Week. Students will learn about Hispanic cultures and celebrations during morning announcements. We will also celebrate being drug free on the week of October 19th. All students are invited to participate in a week of spirit to celebrate our choice to be drug free!

Lunch with Students
Hi parents,
We are so excited to have you come and visit for lunch starting on September 17, 2020. Due to COVID-19 restrictions lunch room visitation will look different for now
There will be 4 visitors per grade level each day.
Each student can only have 1 adult visit them for lunch.
To give everyone a chance to have lunch with their child, we ask that a parent/grandparent only sign up for 1 lunchroom visit per month.
Plase make sure to sign up the day before.
You may not have your child’s friends join you for lunch.
For everyone’s safety, please come just a few minutes before your child’s scheduled lunch time in order to check-in at the front office and sign in. Then please promptly leave once lunch is over.
We thank you for your cooperation with this!
Thanks!
Karla Massey
