New Health Insurance Information and FAQ

New: Annual Open Enrollment

For: All Employees

Annual Open Enrollment will be held July 17 – August 11 (the very last day to enroll). You must log into your account by the end of the day on August 11th, or all benefits will be waived.

  • We will be having a benefits fair on August 7
  • Computer Labs will be held on August 10th and 11th
  • Please complete open enrollment independently if possible

New: USBE Professional Learning Grant Post-Survey

For: Elementary Teachers

  • If you participated in Professional Development in LETRS, Wonders, or Into Math this year, please fill out this survey.

As part of the Professional Learning Grant, USBE staff have been asked to administer an annual post-survey to collect feedback on early literacy and/or early math professional learning opportunities provided to educators using the Professional Learning Grant funds. The pre-survey was emailed in the fall, and as indicated, we are sending out the post-survey. All general education and special education teachers who are teaching in preschool through 3rd grade classrooms who participated in the professional learning opportunity that was funded by the Professional Learning Grant. It will take between 10-15 minutes to complete. Thank you for taking the time to take this survey and thank you for all you do for your students.

Medicare Benefits Information

For: All Employees

Getting closer to retirement brings up so many questions with your health insurance. Provo City School District has a great relationship with Senior Benefits, our retiree insurance broker, that can help you with your questions and enrolling into Medicare. Before signing up with a Medicare agent, Senior Benefits would be a great resource to learn about this benefit. New: Summer Break Shutdown 2023

For: All Employees

Summer Break is our greatest opportunity to conserve energy and save money. Please remember the following during the upcoming summer break:

  • Turn off & unplug all electronics i.e., TVs, computers, projectors, microwaves, document cameras, DVD players, printers, copiers, sound systems, etc.
  • Empty, unplug, and prop the door open of personal refrigerators
  • Ensure setback on thermostat to 80 degrees or unoccupied if in a portable or office
  • Close window blinds
  • Shut down all computer labs
  • Do NOT shut off network switches or routers

New: Secondary English Language Development Curriculum Preview

Teachers and administrators are invited to explore the programs being considered for the upcoming 2024 Secondary English Language Development curriculum adoption!

Each program will be set up for exploration.

UCTM Materials Grant

For: Math Teachers

The Utah Council of Teachers of Mathematics would like to share the success of their annual conference with math teachers throughout the state of Utah by hosting our first UCTM Materials Grant! This grant gives all K-12 teachers of Utah who teach, coteach, or support teaching of mathematics, an opportunity to infuse their classrooms with up to $1500 of instructional materials. ASM Materials Camp

For: Secondary Teachers

ASM Materials Camp®-Teachers is a free, week-long, idea-generating workshop introducing teachers to methods that make math and core science principles more enticing and relevant to their middle and high school students. Materials topics are great motivators in any engineering, technology or science course as students learn concepts that are reflected in their everyday lives.

STEM: Endorsement Incentive Program
