HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA - HiSET INDEPENDENT LEARNING CENTER (ILC) News
As Los Angeles spring flowers bloom all over the city, our classroom is also in full bloom with students getting ready to the last run towards graduation. Students are reviewing their graduation plans with the school counselor, taking the HISET tests, and meeting with teachers to organize the time left in order to complete all assignments by June 13th, the graduation day.
At the same time, staff is going through deep self-study as we prepare for the WASC visit next year. Discussions, meetings, research, and documentation are being done as we analyze our last three years since we had our WASC evaluation. This is a process that involves all persons who work in our school, students, community, and volunteers. Even though this is a daunting journey, the results bring us closer to our mission to be an educational resource to our community.
