  • you to know how to operate windows servers and desktop operating systems; you would need to know these as they are the main piece of software that you would be using.
As well as that you would need to know about computer and networking hardware; This is important because you need them for the following;

  • Logging and prioritisation of all help desk tickets, maintenance of support log and adhering to internal SLAs and raising awareness of regular repeat issues.
  • Diagnosing and resolving a wide range of technical issues
  • Providing end-user desktop support via telephone and in person
