Reed On!

Monday, September 17, 2018

Dear Parents and/or Guardians,

We are off and running at Reed Intermediate School! After a very smooth beginning, all of our students are confidently walking the halls, making new friends and embarking on new learning adventures. On the first day of school, it was heartwarming to see our sixth graders line hallway in a "friendship gauntlet" as fifth graders made their way from the cafetorium to their classrooms.

To find out more about what is going on here at the Intermediate School, Reed On!

Drop-off Reminders

Students being dropped off in the morning must be dropped off by 9 a.m. Our staff will be out front to greet students as they are released from cars in the circle until 9. After 9, you must park in the lot and walk your child in. Students are expected to be in school by 9:05 or they are considered tardy. When dropping off in the circle, be sure to pull all the way up to the last sign to allow for more cars to drop off simultaneously. Remember, we start our drop-off at 8:40 so you have plenty of time to get there! Thanks for your cooperation.

Internet Safety Presentation for Students Next Week

All fifth and sixth graders will attend an internet safety presentation on Friday, September 28th, by Scott Driscoll of Internet Safety Concepts. Mr. Driscoll has done several presentations for our students over the past few years because they can't hear it enough! I encourage you to talk to you child about what he or she learned during the talk. I also encourage you to click on the link below to access his Parent Page which is full of helpful information.
