CJSF Takes Action
Calling all Warriors! It’s time to dig through your pockets, in your sofa and under your bed for any spare change and bills. In the wake of Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma, CJSF is in need of your support. We are holding a fundraiser to raise money to help those in need. A donation booth will be set up in the gym during parent/teacher conferences on Monday, September 25th and Tuesday, September 26th. Then starting Wednesday, September 27th, look for your tribe’s collection bucket in your 6th, 7th, and 8th grade tribe leaders’ classes. The tribe with the greatest amount donated wins 200 points!! Look for your tribe’s color sign in front of your tribe leader’s classroom and you’ll know you have found the right place.

Tech App Approval Process
As our district has moved to 1:1 devices, the number of apps and web tools currently used K-12 has increased dramatically. In order to best support technology implementation in the classroom and to ensure increased student learning, the district has developed an app/web tool approval process.
The apps/web tools currently approved in the district can be viewed at:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1cMATU1TjhgPc8YQ7CyuT_fp8UtmysJFZeIYLbM40uJw/edit?usp=sharing
If you are currently using or want to use an app/web tool that is not on the approved district list, you must request approval by following the attached approval flow chart. The first step is to complete this Google form to request the app/web tool. Use your exeterk12 Gmail account to access the form.

The form is then reviewed by site admin, academic coaches, and district admin. The following criteria is used to determine approval:
Student Learning Outcomes
Minimum Technology Requirements
Cost
Please note that this process must be used even when requesting free web based apps/web tools.
Warrior Fun Day
Our first WFD is scheduled for Friday, October 6th. Teachers will need to submit the names of ineligible students to Stephen by Thursday, September 28th so that he can schedule students into classes. There is approximately a two-week window between when progress reports go out and when names need to be submitted to Stephen. This will allow students some time to bring up their grades. More details and information about WFD to come.
