The Dash diet was created to assist in lowering blood pressure. It can also help prevent high cholesterol.

Pros and Cons

Its good because it helps lower blood pressure and cholesterol, it also helps prevent them.

Recommended weekly meals

Breakfast:

Orange juice

Wheaties with skim milk and raspberries

Cinnamon raisin English muffin with low fat cream cheese


Lunch:

Turkey and light Swiss cheese sandwich with romaine lettuce and cranberry sauce

Minestrone soup

Cole slaw


Snack:

Nectarine

Handful of almonds


Dinner:

Italian bread with olive oil

BBQ salmon steak

Red potatoes

Haricots Verts with crushed hazelnuts
