School Supply Donations

We are in need of the following supplies:

- Pencil cases

- Markers

- Colored pencils

- Crayons

- Dry erase markers

- Post-it notes

If you would like to help, please send donations with your child on their blended learning day or drop them off at the school office.

Meals for students - New dates for distance learning meal pick-up

Free meal pick-up date change for distance learning students

Free meals are available for all distance learning students, regardless of need. See the upcoming curbside pick-up dates below.

  • Friday, Oct. 9 from 10:30-12:30

  • Wednesday, Oct. 14 from 10:30-12:30

Meals can be picked up at the following locations:

Chippewa Middle School (5000 Hodgson Road, North Oaks)

Irondale High School (2425 Long Lake Rd, New Brighton)

Meals for blended learning students

Free breakfast and lunch will be available to all students on the days that they are at school. Students will also be offered a bag with breakfast and lunch to take home for their at-home learning day(s). Students will not need to pay or enter a PIN number to receive these meals.

  • If you would like to opt-out of this free meal program, please complete this form If you do not opt-out, please check your child’s backpack daily as some of these food items will need to be refrigerated.

Free meals will also be available for students attending Tier 1 childcare.

20-21 Online Registration

If you haven't already completed the online registration for your student please do so immediately so we have the most up-to-date, for your student, in our system.

If you already have a ParentVUE account, please log in and click the Online Registration button in the upper right-hand corner. Complete the updates as requested.

If you don’t yet have a ParentVUE account, first follow the ParentVUE Set Up Instructions, included, here, to create an account. Next, follow the Online Registration Directions, here, to log in and complete your enrollment.

You are welcome to log in to your ParentVUE account to verify/update 2020-21 student information for your student(s) at this time. (If you have additional changes or updates that need to be made, once you’ve completed this initial verification, you can do so through your ParentVUE account at any time.) Updates for the upcoming school year MUST be completed immediately so that we are assured we have accurate information as the school year begins.

Rock the School House

Meet The Mounds View Schools Education Foundation and Attend Rock the School House

The school district is anticipating additional expenses for supporting learning, both at home and in school. The Mounds View School Education Foundation is poised to be the bridge between those who want to help our students and the students who need it most. Want to learn more? Attend Rock the School House At-Home on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2020. Attendees who want a Rock the School House experience at home can do that by getting an event pass starting at just $20 per household. Supporters can even purchase an All-Access Pass that includes local specialty snacks, exclusive drinks and DIY event activities. Curriculum Advisory Committee

The Mounds View Public Schools Curriculum Advisory Committee is seeking representatives to serve on the committee for the 2020-21 school year. Committee members work in partnership with the district and community to gain knowledge and provide feedback about curriculum and other instructional issues.

As we navigate this school year and how to safely hold our Curriculum Advisory Committee meetings, we are exploring our in person options as well as virtual options for our members. We plan to meet three times this year, once in November, Jan/Feb and March/April. More information will be sent to those community members who are interested in being part of our committee. We kindly ask that you complete the form below as soon as possible so we can begin planning. We look forward to our time together.

MVSEF’s Support During COVID

As the Mounds View School District takes important measures to plan for the upcoming school year, our alumni, parents, and community members have asked how they can help during this unsettled time. Accordingly, the Mounds View Schools Education Foundation will partner with the school district to raise funds to cover expenses in these unprecedented circumstances.

Mounds View School District leadership has identified the need for unrestricted resources that will ensure reliable internet access for students and the necessary technology to support learning whether it be at home or in school. Additional expenses will also likely be incurred to safeguard our staff and students in the schools and contributions will be equitably directed accordingly.

The MVSEF’s commitment to the district spans over thirty years and at no time has our support been more vital given the multitude of challenges confronting our school community. Students Can Now Receive Text Alerts

Parents, you can now add your child's cell phone number to ParentVUE so they can receive text messages and robo-calls about school closings, significantly delayed school buses, emergencies and other alerts. Riding the Bus and Food/Drink

While riding the bus, students are expected to keep all food and drink in their backpacks. This expectation prevents choking incidents, exposure to life-threatening allergens, and promotes bus sanitation.

Building Security Procedures

A visitor screening system helps track visitors and volunteers at each school, providing a safe and monitored environment for students and staff. When parents come to pickup their child(ren), or visitors check in, they will be asked to present a valid state issued ID for entering into the system.
