Just QUIT It.
The dangers behind smoking and why you should quit...
The Dangers of Smoking
Cigarettes are the most common form of smoking in the world, however they are extremely deadly. Cigarettes contain toxic chemicals such as tar, cadmium, arsenic, and formaldehyde. These chemicals can cause cancer (liver, lung, mouth, bladder, etc.), chronic lung diseases, and make people that already have health conditions a lot worse.
Cancer
Tobacco smoke is made of many chemicals known to cause cancer. This causes a 25% risk increase in a tobacco user to develop cancer.
Lung Diseases
Tobacco is the leading cause of people developing lung diseases such as COPD, emphysema, and chronic bronchitis. Also, tobacco smoke triggers attacks or makes attacks worse in asthmatics.
Brain Productivity
Smoking is a leading cause in strokes in people under 65 years of age. The stroke is caused by the restriction of blood flow to the brain. Smoking also slows your brain down and the nicotine in cigarettes causes your brain to become addicted.
So Why Should You Quit?
Smoking is the most preventable cause of death in the United States of America, so why continue to do it? If you stop smoking you will be one of millions that are starting to quit worldwide. Quitting will strengthen your bonds with family, friends, and community, while paving way for your bright future. So what are you waiting for, make your decision today!
