CFNC Next Step Program
Juniors, check out a program we're offering as a collaboration with CFNC.org. It's called the Next Step program, and participating will ensure that you are taking the steps you need towards your goals and you're ready for your senior year. Below are the two steps you need to take to enroll:
- For ALL juniors: Please complete this brief form. This will give your counselors insight into your plans post-high school and enable us to provide support for you during your senior year.
- Optional program: Enroll in the self-paced online preparation program. This will guide you through the steps you need to take to be ready to apply to college in the fall of your senior year. There are also steps for your parents. You will complete the following six steps at your own pace:
- Set up a CFNC.org account
- Establish an appropriate email account
- Learn about the FAFSA and set up a FSA ID
- Learn about different types of college majors and degrees
- Understand the role of “fit” and “match” as you select colleges
- Learn about safety, match, and reach colleges and establish a list of at least 3 colleges to apply to
