About the Speakers
Dave Gussak
David Gussak, PhD, ATR-BC is Professor in the Florida State University’s Art Therapy program and Project Coordinator, FSU/FDC Art Therapy in Prisons Program. He is co-editor, The Wiley Handbook of Art Therapy & author of The Frenzied Dance of Art & Violence and others on art in forensic settings.
Elena Makarova
Elena Makarova is a writer, historian, art therapist, documentary filmmaker, and exhibit curator as well as the author of more than 40 books translated into 11 languages. Makarova is a winner of the Israel Prize for literature (1996) and the Russian prize (2016). Born in Russia, she now lives and works in Haifa, Israel.
Pat B. Allen
Pat B. Allen, PhD, ATR, author, artist, art therapist and teacher, connects to the Creative Source through art and writing. She is co-founder of the Open Studio Process. Her books - Art is a Way of Knowing and Art is a Spiritual Path – explore the borders between between art, psychology, spirituality and social action.
