Reminder No School on the Following Dates
Lost & Found Cleanout
We want to remind all our students and families that Exclusion Day is coming up on February 19, 2020. Under Oregon state law, if your students aren’t up to date on their immunizations, or have not obtained medical or non-medical exemptions for those required immunizations, they won’t be able to attend school, starting on Feb. 19th.
The Neighborhood Health Center is offering an immunization clinic at Templeton Elementary School (9500 SW Murdock St, Tigard, OR 97224) on February 10, 2020, from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. They will accept most health insurance plans, or if you do not have coverage, will work out a plan for you. We will send updates with more information from the Neighborhood Health Center as we receive them. Thank you!
CFT Open House will be February 13, 2020
Please note to register a student you are required to bring with you the following information:
- Birth Certificate issued from the state or country the child was born in
- Up-to-date immunization records
- Proof of Address (i.e. utility bill, lease agreement, etc - cannot be drivers license)
Please see flyer below for dates of Kindergarten open houses. CFT will host our Kindergarten open house on Thursday, February 13, 2020 from 3:30PM -5:00PM.
Winter Boxtop Contest
It's time to kick off another Box Top Contest! The classroom that has turned in the most Box Tops between November 1st and February 28th will win a Hot Chocolate Party! We happily accept clipped Box Tops on collection sheets or in baggies/envelopes. Remember to write your student's name and their teacher on all incoming Box Tops- we want to give your child and their class credit towards our current or upcoming contest. Box Tops can also be credited to the school instantly by using the Box Top app. Simply download the app, scan your store receipts within 14 days, and type in your student's name & teacher using the "give credit" function to submit your Box Tops and enter school contests. Feel free to "double dip" by clipping and scanning when available!!

Public Housing Program Wait List
For Immediate Release: Tuesday, February 04, 2020
Sponsored by: Housing Services Department, Housing and Tenant Services Division
Public Housing Program Waitlist to open February 10, 2020
Este comunicado de prensa esta disponible en español: https://www.co.washington.or.us/Housing/Programs/apertura-de-la-lista-de-espera-del-programa-de-vivienda-p%C3%BAblica.cfm
The Housing Authority of Washington County (HAWC) will accept applications for the Public Housing Program Waitlist between February 10 and February 24, 2020. The Public Housing Program provides subsidized, decent and safe rental housing for eligible low-income families, the elderly and persons with disabilities. In Washington County, the program is administered by HAWC and consists of a variety of publicly-owned housing units in various locations throughout the community.
Waitlist applications may be submitted online at https://portal.wchousingauthority.org/ beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, February 10 through 5:00 pm on Monday, February 24. Applications will only be accepted online unless special accommodations are requested via email at 2020_Public_Housing_Waiting_list@co.washington.or.us or, by calling the Waitlist Hotline at 503-846-4532. Requests may also be made in writing to: Waitlist Opening, Housing Authority of Washington County, 111 NE Lincoln Street Suite 200-L MS 63, Hillsboro OR 97124.
Although the application portal provides access in several languages, anyone needing additional language assistance can obtain help through the special accommodations request process. Requests for special accommodation should be made before February 10, 2020, if at all possible, to ensure assistance can be arranged in time..
For those who do not have access to a computer to make the online application, many Washington County library locations have computers with internet access, available for public use. Information on library hours and locations is available online at https://www.wccls.org/your_libraries or by calling 503-846-3222.
Only one application per household will be accepted. Households who are already on the Public Housing Waitlist do not need to re-apply. HAWC will exhaust the current waitlist, established in 2015, before serving clients who submit applications in February.
Once the application period closes, a random lottery will be used to select a total of 1,500 households for the new waitlist. All applications received between February 10 and February 24, 2020 will have an equal chance of being selected for the waitlist.
There is never a fee to apply for HAWC assistance. Any person asking for money in return for help with the waitlist application should be reported to the Housing Authority.
HAWC is committed to providing assistance without discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex/gender, sexual orientation and gender identity, national origin, disability, age, source of income, marital status or familial status.
For more detailed information on income limits and other general information please go to https://www.co.washington.or.us/Housing/Programs/public-housing.cfm.
This is not an opening of the Section 8 voucher waitlist. For more information on the Section 8 Program, please go to https://www.co.washington.or.us/Housing/Programs/section-8.cfm.
