Fellowship Application Tip of the Month: Don't fear the terrible first draft
Afraid to start writing because you want your essay to be perfect? Forget about it. Accept that it's going to be a "Shitty First Draft," as Anne Lamott says in Bird by Bird:
So, fellowship applicants, send me your Sh@!*y first draft, and then we'll get down to business!
