Math
Last week we continued working on data and graphs. We've covered line/dot plots and scatter plots. Students learned that scatter plots can be used to analyze information over time. Some of our Math Station activities focused on division with a two-digit divisor, students could choose problems with a three or four digit dividend. There were lots of great discussions.
Science
We've started our unit on the Sun, Earth, and Moon by comparing the physical characteristics of all three. The kids also learned that we always see the same side of the moon (that's why every photo of the moon always looks the same), and we did an activity to try to illustrate this.
Ollie
Some of the students are asking to "play" with Ollie on a regular basis (usually Fridays), and it has been so cute to watch. They are very careful and I like how they also bring Boris over so he and Ollie can have a play date.
I'm So Excited!!!
Starting on Thursday, I will start my 12/2 Days of Christmas. All my students will get a little gift from me for six days! I wish I could tell you more, but I don't want the kids to know.
