Rose Lane Principal Letter...
I appreciate you all so much for following our procedures for drop-off and pick-up, so that we can keep students and staff safe during these busy transitions at the beginning and end of our day. I know you may also be curious about our mitigation plan for Covid 19. Here is the link to the District website, https://www.madisonaz.org/domain/41, where you will be able to find the link to our plan, compare it to the District's, and also navigate to the Maricopa County Department of Public Health. Please let me know if you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions.
Our amazing students have very quickly gotten used to all of our routine events and procedures for lunch, recess, transitions to and from classrooms, as well as our SOAR expectations for being Safe, Organized, Accountable, and Responsible. They are enjoying our playground at lunch recess, under the supervision of our Cool Kids Recess staff, which is funded through our mandatory school activity of $50 per child. Our Rocket Booster-funded aides, and our classroom instructional aides, are also on duty each day to keep kids safely on track in the cafeteria. We've screened 100% of our students' to better understand their abilities to read fluently, and are working through our beginning-of-the-year MAP testing for each grade level, in both Math and reading. Teachers will share this information with you during our Parent-Teacher conferences in October - although we have already begun using the results to pinpoint the starting place for instruction. Mr. Reyes and I are in classrooms every day, and are constantly seeing these and other examples of how we are focusing on the important, complex, and joyful work of teaching and learning.
At this time, we have 737 beautiful and eagar students enrolled at Rose Lane, along with 53 teachers and aides, and an additional 20 staff members in administration, maintenance, food service, and student services. We are working hard as a school community to make a safe and happy environment for our precious students and staff, so we can focus on learning and growing. Thanks so much for being such great partners in all of our efforts this year!

News from Rose Lane's Assistant Principal...
Hello Rose Lane Families!
I wanted to begin by thanking all of you who have helped to make our drop off and pick up procedures go so smoothly this year. Moving to 6 cars dropping off and picking up has allowed us to speed up the process for everyone. We had a couple of bumps along the way but we are now running smoothly and we can’t thank you enough for assisting us.
I wanted to remind you that we encourage our students to make sure that they are leaving toys and sports equipment at home. The toys, such as pokemon cards and fidgets, create a distraction for the student and they miss out on valuable instruction time. If you could please help support us by reminding your child to keep those items safe at home.
We also really need your support in making sure our kiddos are at school and on time every day. Remember that our instructional day begins at 7:45 so please ensure that you have set up a routine that allows for you to be able to get your child here at that time. We thank you so much for this because it is truly the biggest way that you can have a positive impact on your child’s learning this year!
Finally, I wanted to just say how grateful I am each year to be the Assistant Principal at Rose Lane. Your child's academic and social emotional success is at the top of my list each and every day so I can’t wait to continue this partnership with you. Please remember that my door is always open if you have any questions or concerns. Until next time, take care!
Your Rose Lane Assistant Principal,
Andre Reyes

Message from Rose Lane Rocket Boosters
Greetings Rose Lane families! Your Rocket Boosters are thrilled to start the school year together to support the remarkable staff and cherished children at Madison Rose Lane. We were over the moon to be able to see so many families at our ‘Drop By say Hi’ night. There, an impressive number of parents and caregivers were eager to volunteer their time to benefit our school. Rocket Boosters’ first meeting was held on Monday August 15th and we had a great turn out! Attendees were enthusiastic to get detailed information about volunteering, to graciously offer their time to chair upcoming events, become coordinators, and we were even able to vote in 2 new members!
Meetings are held the first Monday (if it’s a school day), of the month, 4:30 in the library. Our meetings are hybrid, there will always be a link on Class Dojo if you’d like to join virtually.
With appreciation,
Rocket Boosters
