School News (NEW)
Dear Sunnyside Community,
Thank you so much for a wonderful year. We couldn't do what we do without our staff and so as the year ends, I want to extend some gratitude to some of our staff members who are moving on.
Karen who was teaching middle school music has gotten a full time job in Wilsonville teaching at Wilsonville HS. Her position at Sunnyside was cut going into next year and we are thrilled to hear that she landed full time at the high school.
Megan, our nurse is moving and we wish her the best.
Calley our school psych is going to McDaniel High School to be full time.
Meg, our art student teacher landed an art gig in Estacada teaching middle school art.
Trish our temporary math teacher is moving on as well and we thank her.
Karen Shay is leaving Sunnyside to go to Roseway Heights. She has been here since near the beginning of the founding of Sunnyside. She is kind, thoughtful, and we will miss her.
Recently Corbin has decided to take a leave and move to Maine with his family. He is an extraordinary teacher who we wish well, but also hope that he might return.
Many changes for Sunnyside but our staff is ready to embrace the change and move into the new year with some new members on board and a commitment to kids that is unwavering.
Thank you for all you do. Have a wonderful summer and we will be in touch in August!

Thank you from the Art Room
Thanks again from the Art Room- We had such an amazing year! Our tradition at the end of the quarter is to have a middle school gallery in the hallways for all students to see and appreciate. With the summer fast approaching we wanted to still celebrate all of the hard work during quarter 4. Here is a link to Robin's class's favorite Art they created in the past nine weeks.
Have a beautiful summer, Indigo & Meg
Middle School community,
Our yearbook staff worked super hard on the yearbook this year. We had so many high-quality photos that we had difficulties transferring the file to the print shop. The end result is that some of the photos were printed low-res and look blurry when you look closely. This is a lesson for us in accepting imperfections and looking for how we can learn to do better next year. Instead of reprinting, we are sharing an electronic version of the yearbook with the community. You can make a copy and keep it to print or enjoy it electronically for years to come. link
Thanks for your understanding,
Indigo, Meg & the yearbook staff
