Your librarian is here to serve as an instructional partner with you- to collaborate, co-plan, and co-teach. I am also happy to support the TEKS you are currently teaching in your classroom by reinforcing or extending the learning in the library.
Librarian On Call- I can even come to your classroom!
Students are welcome to check out books anytime! We spent the first nine weeks working hard in library to learn library basics, including self check out. Most classes in grades 2-5 are now able to check in and out independently! One goal of the library program is to increase circulation, which means students checking out and reading more books. You are welcome and encouraged to send students one, two, or three at a time to return their books and check out more-- anytime! Not just your regular day. Kinder and first are still learning self check out, but they should be independent soon.
Book the Library
