The Hull Herald - 10/31/2022
Latest News from Mrs. Hull's 2nd Grade
A Great Week!
This past week we have learned about water safety and how to dial 911. A huge thanks to the YMCA of Lincoln County!! We also learned about bats and how they use echolocation to find their way in the dark. We are going to be switching gears this week to learn about the importance of Veteran's Day and voting.
Reminders
- Please send in t-shirt money ASAP, the total is $6.00.
- Just a reminder:
- We are going to be sharing goodies Monday for Halloween, if you would like to send something in, please do so in the morning.
- We are still using water bottles through out the day instead of the water fountain, please be sure to send a water bottle or bottle of water with your child daily (we will reuse the empty plastic bottle as their water bottle).

Homework- Sharpening our Skills
Letterland: We will continue to follow the Letterland Format, I have added a copy of the instructions and this weeks words here.
Reading: This week you will notice a new reading sheet coming home, that looks very similar to last week. This homework will target your child's reading fluency (how fast they accurately read) and allow your child to practice some of their comprehension skills. There is one question to answer nightly. Please note, every child has a reading sheet tailored to their current reading level. If you find that this is much too hard or easy, please let me know.
