Consider changing your website page from Overdrive to Sora
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uqQvD9QpEOU&feature=em-share_video_user
Elizabeth Rush recommends Sora over Overdrive. She says that it is much easier to use and much more fun for students to use. Sora also can include public libraries as well, such as our very own SAPL.
Students can look up words and it keeps a list of what they look up. -Lots of possibilities for vocabulary building here!
Students and educators can even keep track of notes they take on their reading!
So if your students or educators want to use their mobile devices or a desktop we recommend Sora.

Needing approval of the videos you post to YouTube
If you have not already figured it out you need to have your videos you post to YouTube approved for students to be able to see them. You cannot approve them yourself if you are the person who uploaded them. You have to have another NISD educator approve the video you uploaded for others to see it. They can do this by simply looking for your video on YouTube and clicking approve.

It can also create shortened URL links.
3D printing to promote reading!
Kat Lowe created these for students who earned them with their reading over the summer. Those with reading logs that met the criteria earn a badge.
Thanks Kat for sharing this wonderfully creative use of 3D printing to promote reading!
