Marching Band Information

The new Marching Band show is underway and the kids had a very successful band camp! You can view photos and videos of the practices here: https://www.facebook.com/FranklinCentralBB

There are no scheduled practices for winds, percussion, or guard this week (July 27th to August 1st), but the regular practice schedule will resume on Monday, August 3rd. The schedule can be found here: https://bit.ly/2CR

Senior Banners

Senior Banners are a tradition for the FC Marching Band. We are continuing this tradition in 2020. Band seniors will wear their marching uniforms and color guard seniors will wear their guard jackets.

Location: Annex

Dates and Times:

  • Tuesday August 4th, 5pm
  • Thursday August 6th, 4pm

If you would like to purchase a banner, they are $40 each. The order form and payment is due during your photo session. Print the order form below.

Please remember to wear a mask and keep a 6 feet distance while waiting to have your photo taken.

Senior Questionnaire

All seniors should have completed the senior questionnaire that was due on Friday, July 24th. If that has not been done, please complete it now. This information will be printed in the program for Senior Night. Please be sure to consider answers thoughtfully. This will be a treasured keepsake for years to come.

Volunteers Needed - Band Uniforms

Hello Parents,

Our marching band competition season may have been cancelled but we still need to wash the uniforms and give our seniors a clean uniform for their Banner Photo. Please note that the color guard seniors will wear their guard jacket for the photo.

Plan to pick up the marching uniforms at the Annex south entrance on Wednesday afternoon, July 29th.

Marching Band Fees

The board is currently reviewing the financial impact of the 2020 season. A lot of details and expenses go into making a band season successful and some of the expenses are incurred during the initial planning process. This includes items such as the show design, music, and staff fees. Some of these expenses have already been incurred and can not be avoided. While we want to reduce the 2020 Marching Band fees as much as possible, we also need to consider expenses that will be incurred while we pivot to planning a new show with different rehearsal times and financial requirements. Therefore, details regarding the August payment and total 2020 fees will be forthcoming. We appreciate your patience as we work through the details. If you have not made your June or July payment, please do so now.

50/50 Raffle

Thank you to everyone that participated in our 50/50 raffle! This includes students, parents, volunteers, and community supporters. It took a lot of people to make this fundraiser a success. We had a tremendous outcome and collected $13,360! Our lucky winner, BJ Parker, won $6,680 and Franklin Central Bands received the same amount. Thank you for your support!

2020 Fall Mum Fundraiser

It is time to kickoff our 2020 Fall mum fundraiser. Download or print the student and customer information sheet below. 2nd Annual 2020 Holiday Craft Fair

This is the final week for vendors to apply and be considered for a booth at our 2nd Annual 2020 Holiday Craft Fair. The deadline for submission is July 31, 2020. We will be announcing our first round of vendors in August. Get your applications in quickly if you would like to be considered. Please read the vendor guidelines carefully. We will be following CDC recommendations closely to ensure a safe and pleasant fair for everyone. We will conduct a 2nd round of selections if all booth spaces are not filled.
